UP To Come Out With New Sports Policy Soon: Navneet Sehgal
Lucknow, Sep 10 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Additional chief secretary (ACS) Navneet Sehgal on Saturday announced that the Yogi Adityanath govt in order to promote sports and sportperson was in the process of formulating a news sports policy. It will be made public soon after necessary approvals.
Inagurating the Mens Rs 1 Lakh prize money Tennis Tournament in presence of Puneet Agarwal, Secretary, UPTA and Mukesh Bhadur Singh, Indo-US and Indo-Canada Chambers, organised by Unnad Tennis Academy here on Saturday, the high-ranking official further said that "State govt was very keen in promoting basic infrastructure in sports to facilitate the sports talent, our priority will be to focus on rural talents and provide them international level facilities in their respective sports discipline."
Sehgal will be chairing an all-important meeting of different sports association and sports body here today to discuss on the new sports policy. ACS sports further said "Government has already announced several sops for the medal winners in the International events who had brought laurel for the country". In this tournament 64 participants from different states will take part, finals will be played on September 16, 2022.
