UP Police Sub-Inspector Hit By Bike During Vehicle Checking In Fathepur, Dies

Fatehpur, March 31 (TNA) A sub-inspector of the Uttar Pradesh police died on Thursday in Fatehpur district of UP when he was hit by a speeding bike when he tried to intercept it while vehicle checking. The sub-inspector was checking vehicles in front of Sultanpur Ghosh police station gate, when he signaled a father-son duo going on the bike to stop.

The bike rider had a pig loaded on the vehicle but rather than stopping he further raced the bike that hit the cop. The father and son riding the bike were also injured in the accident. Police has sent information to the family of the deceased sub-inspector which lives in Prayagraj. The deceased sub-Inspector Virendra Nath Mishra was 50.
