UP Police Constitutes Special ‘Election Cell’

Lucknow, January 8 (TNA) hours ahead of the announcement of the poll schedule by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Uttar Pradesh Police has constituted a special ‘Election Cell’. The Cell would be headed by the ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar and the IG law and Order.

IPS LR Kumar, Ashish Tiwari anbd Avinash Pandey have been posted in the Election Cell. The cell will also oversee the movement of the force and its allottment during and before the crucial assembly polls, an official said.
