UP Leaders Cutting Across Party Lines Pay Homage To Pranab Mukherjee

Mukherjee, 84, died at a medical facility in New Delhi after almost a month in the hospital.

LUCKNOW || Leaders cutting across party lines in Uttar Pradesh on Monday condoled the demise of former president of India Pranab Mukherjee. In a condolence message, Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel said in the passing away of Mukherjee, the country had lost and able administrator, a dedicated politician and an economic expert.

Former UP governor Ram Naik, now settled in Mumbai, also mourned the demise of Mukherjee and recalled how despite different political ideologies, he was friends with all. We became friends in 1980 and that bond always continued" he recalled. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath paid rich tributes to the former president.

Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu, leader of the Congress legislature party Aradhana Mishra Mona, former Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari have also condoled the demise of the former president. Former UP Chief Minister Mayawati also expressed her condolences and the passing away of Mukherjee

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav called the death of Pranab Mukherjee as a personal loss. Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu, leader of the Congress legislature party Aradhana Mishra Mona, former Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari have also condoled the demise of the former president. Former UP Chief Minister Mayawati also expressed her condolences and the passing away of Mukherjee.

Mukherjee, 84, died at a medical facility in New Delhi after almost a month in the hospital. He was admitted for a minor brain operation but was tested positive for Coronavirus and thereafter his health deteriorated as his lungs got infected and he went into septic shock on Sunday. PM Modi has also condoled the death of the former president.
