UP Increases Amount Of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana From Rs 15 K To Rs 25 K

Lucknow, February 15 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that the UP government has increased the amount of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 25 thousand. The increased amount will be available from April. He said that the safety and respect of women is the priority of the double engine government. For this reason this amount has been increased.

In the Chief Minister's mass marriage ceremony organized in the fertilizer factory complex, Yogi said that in 2014, the Prime Minister launched the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign for the safety, respect and self-reliance of half the population. The daughter will survive only after studying, she will move ahead and will be able to contribute to the country and society. Many schemes are being run to save and advance the daughters.

After forming the government in the state in 2017, he started Kanya Sumangala Yojana, so that arrangements could be made for the education of the daughter from birth till graduation. More than 17 lakh daughters in the state have benefited from this scheme. The Chief Minister said that his government stands firmly with half the population of the state. 55 lakh poor people in the state have been given houses under PM Awas Yojana. More than half of these are in the names of women.

One thousand couples got married in this ceremony on Wednesday which was organized by the Social Welfare Department. CM presented certificates and gift-shagun kits to ten newlyweds. At the ceremony, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 19 development projects costing Rs 252 crore.
