UP Govt Tells Allahabad HC That Dr Kafeel Khan Was Suspended Again During Ongoing Suspension!

Prayagraj, August 12 (TNA) In the case pending before the Allahabad High Court relating to the suspension of Dr. Kafeel Khan, the UP Government has now informed the High Court that another disciplinary proceeding has been initiated against Dr. Khan for "various incidents" which occurred during the period of first suspension while he was attached to the office of the Directer Medical education.

It was also informed that Dr. Khan, who was already suspended after the BRD incident in August 2017, was again suspended on 31.07.19 under these proceedings. How can someone suspend someone who is already suspended is the question that people close to Khan are now asking.

So even Suspension after BRD oxygen tragedy is revoked he continued to be suspended and won’t be reinstated.

Hearing the counsel for the UP Govt., the Allahabad High Court, which has already asked the Govt. to justify the 4 year delay in conclusion of disciplinary proceedings against Dr. Khan, has asked the Govt. to file an affidavit bringing on record details of these disciplinary proceedings.

On the last date on 06.08.21, the Govt. had informed that it had "withdrawn" the re-enquiry of the charges in the disciplinary proceedings related to the BRD incident in which Dr. Khan was found not to have been guilty. Court has now listed the matter for further hearing on August 31.
