UP Governor, CM Pay Tributes To Gandhi And Lal Bahadur Shastri
LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath led the state on Friday in paying glowing tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister on their anniversaries. The duo first went to the Gandhi statue in Hazratganj and paid floral tributes.
Also present on the occasion were law minister Brajesh Pathak, BJP state unit president Swatantra Dev Singh and Lucknow Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia.
Patel and Adityanath thand rove to the Gandhi Ashram where both the leaders weaved khadi on the spinning wheel.
MSME minister Siddharth Nath Singh was also present on the occasion.
Later they went to the annexe, named after former prime minister lal Bahadur Shastri and paid floral tributes to his statue.
