UP Governor, Chief Minister Unveil Statue Of Sardar Patel At Raj Bhavan

LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday unveiled the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed in the main lawn at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and paid floral tributes.

On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister visited the exhibition organized by the Culture Department on the life and work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On this occasion, the Governor also released the book 'Sardar Patel Personality, Ideas and Nation Building' by Janak Singh Meena. Earlier, the Governor and the Chief Minister visited the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at GPO Park and paid floral tributes.

On this occasion, the Governor also administered the oath of national unity to the people present. In his address, the Governor said that Mahatma Gandhi had said in relation to the personality of Sardar Patel that if there had not been Sardar Patel with me, it would have taken another 10 years to get independence.

The Governor said that there was a feeling in the mind of the British that give them freedom but Akhand Bharat will not be made, because the kings and princes of 562 princely states are not going to give up their rule. But the personality and influence of Sardar Patel was such that gradually the kings and princes of all the princely states obeyed him and realized the dream of Akhand Bharat.
