UP Cabinet Clears Revised Cost For Multi-level Parking, Advocate Chambers At Allahabad High Court
Lucknow, July 22 (TNA) The Yogi Adityanath-led cabinet has approved the second revised cost of Rs. 640.37 crore for construction of Multi-level Parking and Advocate Chambers in Allahabad High Court Complex. Now 2500 chambers for lawyers will be set up in the High Court premises.
Law and Justice Minister Brajesh Pathak informed that in June 2019, Rs 530.07 crore was released in the Allahabad High Court for lawyers' chambers and multilevel parking. It was to have about 1400 chambers. He said lawyers had demanded an increase in the number of chambers. The number of chambers is now being increased to 2500 on the demand of lawyers.
Chambers of judges will also be constructed, he said. The law minister also informed that the Council of Ministers has also approved the proposal to authorize the Chief Minister to take decision in case of any change or amendment in the project in question.
He informed that as the cost of construction work of multilevel parking and advocate chambers is more than Rs. 50 crore, the Public Works Department has been designated as the executive body. Sponsorship is to be done on EPC mode.
