UP Bureaucracy Rejigged, More Than A Dozen IAS Officers Transferred

Lucknow, April 15 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government rejigged the state bureaucracy on Friday and shifted over a dozen Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials. The District Magistrate (DM) of Bareilly, Vaibhav Srivastava has been put in waiting while 2011 batch IAS Deepak Meena has been made the new DM of Meerut. Neha Jain, a 2014 batch IAS officer has been named as the new DM of Kanpur Dehat.

Jitendra Pratap Singh has been named the new DM of Deoria, while Sanjeev Ranjan has been named as the new DM of Siddharthnagar. The city commissioner of Meerut, Manish Bansal has been shifted out and named the new DM of Sambhal. Samir Verma, who was secretary PWD has been shfted to Social Welfare in the same capacity.

Additional chief secretary Suresh Chandra who held the charge of planning and programme implementation has been relieved of it and he will nbow hold the charge of labour only. Alok Kumar has been given full charge of secretary planning and programme implementation.

K Bala Ji has been put in waiting while Mala Srivastava has been made the DM of Rae Bareilly. Balkar Singh has been made the MD of Jal Nigam while Anurag Yadav has been named as the new secretary Agriculture.
