Two UP Universities Figure In MHRD-UGC's Research Ganga App's Top Ten

Lucknow, January 8 (TNA) Efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government to take higher education to new heights seem to have started showing results as two state varsities have claimed posts in the top ten of the MHRD-UGC's research Ganga application.

VBS Purvanchal University, which was placed fifth in the country 6 months ago on the Research Ganga portal, created in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development and UGC, has now claimed the third spot in the country and number one in the state.

So far 8211 write ups/papers have been uploaded on Shodh Ganga portal by the university. Apart from this, Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University of Kanpur also holds its place in the top ten.

To enhance the quality of research across the country, the Research Ganga Portal was prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development and UGC. The UGC has also instructed all the universities to upload their thesis on this portal.

There are 17 state universities in the state. In this, Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur with 8211 thesis is at number three across the country. Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University of Kanpur is ranked 6th among universities across the country.

Apart from this, with 4598 thesis, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University Ayodhya also holds its place in the top universities. There has been rapid work in the last six months here. As many 2122 thesis uploaded from Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut.

2122 theses have been uploaded on the research Ganga by Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural University 186, Lucknow University 1047, Allahabad University 1356, Chaudhary Charan Singh University. Apart from this, private universities of the state are also doing excellent work in the field of research, in collaboration with the government.
