Two Sons Of Dead Mafia Don Atique Ahmed Handed Over To Their Aunt

Prayagraj, Oct 9 (TNA) Taking a decision on the instructions of the Supreme Court (SC), the youngest son of the dead mafia don Atique Ahmed and his elder brother, were released from the juvenile detention center on Monday and handed over to his aunt (bua) Shaheen Parveen, an official said. The Child Welfare Committee had issued instructions for the same earlier in the day as Ehzam turned 18 recently and hence cannot be kept in juvenile custody.

Ehjam turned 18 on October 4 this year and as per the rules, he cannot be kept in a child care home. On behalf of his aunt Shaheen, an application was filed in the Supreme Court demanding handing over both the children to her. The Supreme Court has asked the Child Welfare Committee to consider the matter and submit a report. The next hearing of the case is to be held on October 10.

Late on Monday evening, he was released from the child protection home and handed over to his aunt. After the murder of Umesh Pal earlier this year, the police had recovered both the minor sons of Atiq Ahmed from Chakia area. Since both were under 18 years of age, they were kept in a child protection home on the orders of the court. These two children are number four and fifth.

The eldest son of Atique is in Lucknow jail and the second son was killed in a police encounter.
