Two Killed As Roof Of A House Collapses During a Birthday Party In Agra

Agra, August 24 (TNA) Two persons were killed and more than a dozen injured when the roof of a two-storey house in the Tajganj area of Agra collapsed late on Monday, police said. There was a birthday party going on the roof top of a bullion traders house when tragedy struck.

A police official told The News Agency that the mishap happened in Dhandhupura at the house of a Sonu Verma.

On getting information about the accident, cops from many police stations reached the spot. Police till late night rescued the people trapped under the debris. They were admitted to a medical facility with multiple injuries and for shock.

As soon as the information reached the state capital, chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district officials to ensure proper treatment to the injured and their timely relief, a state government spokesman said.
