Two Girls Die After Consuming Chocolate In Kaushambi, Two Others Critical

Kaushambi, August 18 (TNA) Two girls - both real sisters died after eating chocolate in Sourai Buzurg village of Kada Dham area of Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The condition of two other girls is critical and they are undergoing treatment at the Children's Hospital in Prayagraj.

The relatives of the deceased sisters have accused a youth of the village of mixing poison in the chocolate due to old enmity. The police completed the legal formalities of the dead bodies. Saurai elderly resident Rajkumar Prajapati is an advocate. He practices at District Court, Manjhanpur.

He says that on Wednesday night his eight-year-old daughter Varsha Rani was sleeping on the terrace. When she woke up from sleep on Thursday morning, she saw that there was a chocolate lying near the cot.

She came down with the chocolate. Told that the daughter shared chocolates with her cousin Vasudev's seven-year-old daughter Sadhana, four-year-old daughter Shalini and Ashok's seven-year-old daughter Aarushi from the same village.

After some time the condition of the four girls started deteriorating. In a hurry, he was first admitted to Ismailpur CHC and then to the district hospital. When the condition became serious, the doctors referred him to the Children's Hospital of Prayagraj.

Sadhna and Shalini, battling between life and death, succumbed in the evening during treatment one after the other. While the condition of two girls is critical. Rajkumar alleges that he has an old enmity with a young man from the village. Because of this, he mixed poison in chocolate and threw it on the roof, eating which worsened the condition of the girls. Two of them died.

According to the police, a complaint has been given by the relatives. Action will be taken against the accused and case will be registered. Action will be taken on the basis of whatever truth will be found in the investigation, a police officer said.
