Two From Bihar Caught At Lucknow Airport Smuggling 1.5 Kgs Of Gold From Dubai

Lucknow, July 12 (TNA) Two persons coming from Dubai were arrested at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow on Tuesday when gold worth over Rs one crore was discovered hidden in their rectal region.

The duo - both residents of Bihar were caught after the customs officials developed suspicion about them as they were in a hurry to get through the security clearance.

They were whisked away and thoroughly checked after which 1.5 kgs of gold worth Rs one crore was found on them. They had got off fligh IX-194 and have been identified as being residents of Darbhanga and Siwan of Bihar.

They have been taken under custody. To hoodwink customs, they were bringing gold in form of paste.
