Twenty Seven AMU Students Receive Sir Syed Global Scholar Award

Aligarh, June 19 (TNA) Twenty Seven Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students received the meritorious Sir Syed Global Scholar Award (SSGSA) 2022-23 to pursue higher education in United States, Canada and Europe based premier institutions.

They are Saima Khan Afridi (Chemistry), Mohd Ahmad (Biotechnology), Sobia Ahmed (Operations Management), Asmer Hamid Ali (Electronics Engineering), Abdullah Alvi (Electrical Engineering), Ramsha Anwer (Biochemistry), Sk Md Aquib (Applied Geology), Mohd Fahad (Biotechnology), Amina Faiz (Computer Science), Ishan Gupta (Computer Engineering), Md Meraj Khalid (Chemical Engineering), Alisha Khan (Architecture), Mohd Maaz Khan (Electronics Engineering), Dhruv Maheshwari (Computer Engineering), Taqdees Mariam (Architecture), Maryam Nisar (Biochemistry), Abbas Syed Nooruddin (Electrical Engineering), Ahmad Ozair (Medicine), Hera Rashid (Industrial Chemistry), Mohammad Abdullah Sarkar (Psychology), Arsalan Sartaj (Electrical Engineering), Pratiksha Singh (Business Management), Mohd Ubaid (Civil Engineering), Mohd Mohi Uddin (Physics), Raza Haider Zaidi (Law), Mohammad Zain (Electronics Engineering) and Mahwish Zaman (Psychology).

“All SSGSA scholars will be provided personalised mentorship and financial aid for the required standardised tests, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS. Application fees for up to five universities will also be covered in the award”, said Salam Bin Kashif (Chair, SSGSA Programme, Clemson, South Carolina, USA).

SSGSA Executive Committee members, Mr Syed Ali Rizvi (Boston), Dr Saif Sheikh (Chicago), Dr Shaida Andrabi (Srinagar), Dr Rehan Baqri (Boston), Dr Mohsin Khan (Rhode Island), Ali Muzaffar (Atlanta) and Dr Wasikul Islam (Geneva) informed that students who missed the award by small margins will also be mentored and guided for future endeavours.
