Three Killed, Two Dozen Seriously Injured In Road Mishap In Etawah

Lucknow, August 27 (TNA) Three persons were killed and over two dozen injured in a road mishap in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours on Friday. The accident took place as a roadways bus collided into a stationary truck, one km from Bijauli village on the six-lane highway, falling under the Bakewar police station.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital, where condition of some is stated to be critical. The bus was from Agra Fort Depot. I was going from Kanpur to Agra. In the accident, Narpat (42) resident of district Hamirpur and ten-year-old boy Aditya resident of Aligarh died on the spot. Another deceased is yet to be identified.

The police informed the families of the injured and the deceased. Bakewar police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh said that the accident happened due to an attempt by teh Roadway bus driver to overtake the truck.
