Three Killed As Tanker Hits Car In Etawah’s Friends Colony

Etawah, March 19 (TNA) Three persons, including a father and his daughter died in a road accident in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh late on Friday, police said. The mishap took place when a tanker hit a car at the Bharthana intersection in the Friends Colony area.

Three persons, including a father-daughter and the driver of the car died in the accident, while three people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, the car occupants were on their way to Jalaun from Etawah.

Dilip Porwal, 50, a resident of Chaudharan Kotwali in Jalaun, was traveling from Etawah to Jalaun by car at night with his family members. As soon as they reached the service lane leading to National Highway from Bharthana intersection near Sai Cold Storage, a fast moving tanker hit the car from the front.

As soon as the collision took place, the car was badly damaged and its occupants Dilip Porwal, his 19-year-old daughter Ayushi Porwal and driver Babbu aged 40 died. While Dilip Porwal's wife Anjali Porwal age 36, Shivani wife Jitendra Porwal and Ajay Rathore son Kishan Rathore resident of Mohalla Fardanvis Jalaun were injured.

Traffic on the highway was affected after the accident, police arrived shortly after the information. The police called for an ambulance and sent the injured to Uttar Pradesh Medical University Saifai, where they are being treated. The police have started finding out about the tanker and its driver and have sent information to the relatives of the deceased.
