Three Kidnappers Injured In Gun Battle With Sonbhadra Police, One Critical

Sonbhadra, March 11 (TNA) Three criminals involved in kidnapping of a five-year-old sustained gun shot wounds while being engaged in an encounter with the local police on Saturday morning, an official said. All the three injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. One of the cop however was later referred to Varanasi due to his critical condition.

An official said that on March 5, a 9-year-old kid was kidnapped from Ped village and the police had arrested two kidnappers after the body of the child was recovered from the pond in Mirzapur district. Based on the leads provided by the arrested kidnapper duo, the police reached the three other kidnappers and the encounter took place.
