Table Top Speed Breakers Will Soon Be Installed On State Roads Along With CCTV Cameras On Service Lanes

Lucknow, December 9 (TNA) Table top speed breakers will soon be installed on the roads of the state along with CCTV cameras on service lanes. Road Safety Fortnight will be celebrated in the state from 15 to 31 December. The road will be maintained and protected during the fortnight.

Table top speed breakers will now be installed in place of speed breakers which are causing accidents on the roads of the state. Verification of registration of e-rickshaw, auto rickshaw and taxi will also be done in urban areas. CCTV cameras will be installed on urban routes and highways. The state government has made preparations to reduce accidents on the routes under Road Safety Week, an official informed.

Thermoplastic paints, cat-eye will be compulsorily applied on it. Along with keeping the roads pothole free, damaged tracks and illegal cuts will be repaired. At the same time, action will be taken against those who repeatedly break traffic rules.

Along with road safety, emergency care will be improved. Medical aid posts established at NHAI toll plazas will be upgraded. Aapda Mitras of the Revenue Department, petrol pump dhaba personnel and vehicle mechanics will be provided first responder training by the Health Department. Whereas health cards will also be issued for commercial drivers. Driving license will not be renewed without health checkup.
