Suspected Honour Killing In Kaushambi: Mother Arrested, Father On The Run

Kaushambi, December 17 (TNA) A case of suspected honour killing has been reported from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. According to information available, in Alampur village of Pipri Kotwali, a decomposed body of a girl student was found in the well of the garden outside the village on Thursday evening.

It is suspected that the girl was a victim of honor killing. The police reached after getting the information, after inspecting the spot, the girl's mother has been taken into custody. While the father has fled the house. Police is probing the incident by sending the body for post-mortem. Other people of the house are also not ready to say anything regarding the matter.

Dashrath Pal, a resident of Alampur, works in a milk dairy located in Delhi to support the family. He has been living at home since last one year. His youngest daughter Pooja (14) was a student of class nine in a school in Tilhapurmod market.

Five days ago, Pooja went missing from the house under suspicious circumstances. Seeing no difference on the faces of the relatives about the disappearance of the daughter, various discussions started among the villagers.

There were many wounds on the body. The police have taken the mother of the deceased into custody in the case. While father Dashrath Lal escaped leaving the house. CO Chayal Shyamkant says that there is information about the murder of the student due to honor killing. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The incident is also being investigated at several other points.
