STF Inspector Sunil Kumar Succumbs to Injuries Sustained During The Shamli Encounter

Gurugram/Shamli, January 22 (TNA) STF Inspector Sunil Kumar, who was critically injured during a gunfight with criminals in Shamli on Monday night, passed away today while undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. The encounter, which took place near Udpur village in Shamli, led to the elimination of four notorious members of the Mukim Kala and Kagga gangs.

Over 40 rounds of bullets were exchanged during the 30-minute gunfight. Inspector Sunil sustained severe injuries during the operation and was immediately rushed to Gurugram for advanced medical care. Doctors managed to remove a bullet from his abdomen on Tuesday, but his condition remained critical. Despite their efforts, the brave officer succumbed to his injuries.

Shamli SP Ramsevak Gautam confirmed the tragic news, adding that a team has been sent to Gurugram to coordinate further proceedings. The encounter site was sealed following the operation.
