STF Ends Reign of Terror Of Notorious Criminal Siraj Ahmad, Guns Him Down in Saharanpur Encounter
Sultanpur, Dec 21 (TNA) The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police in the wee hours of Sunday successfully terminated the terror streak of Siraj Ahmad, a prime suspect in a murder case with a ₹1,00,000 bounty, during an intense encounter in the Gangoh area of Saharanpur district.
Acting on credible intelligence, STF personnel encircled the location where the accused was hiding. As the team closed in, Siraj opened fire on the police, prompting retaliatory action in self-defence. The exchange left the criminal critically injured; he was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his wounds, as declared by doctors.
From Siraj’s possession, authorities recovered a motorcycle, two pistols (30-bore and 32-bore), a substantial cache of live and spent cartridges, four mobile phones, and other incriminating items. Records reveal 28 serious criminal cases against him across Uttar Pradesh police stations, including charges of murder, attempted murder, and under the stringent Goonda Act and the NSA.
