STF Arrests Smuggler Duo In Shahjahanpur, Rs 27 Crore Worth Of Drugs Brought From Nepal Seized
Shahjahanpur, March 29 (TNA) A joint team of STF Lucknow and SOG has arrested two smugglers from a car in Shahjahanpur and seized 22 kg charas and 5.5 kg opium from them. The value of the contraband recovered from the accused has been said to be Rs 27 crore. The recovered drugs were smuggled from Nepal.
CO Sadar Amit Chaurasia said that the police arrested Satish Gupta, resident of Shahjanwan police station, Kaudia district, Gonda and Vivek Srivastava, resident of Vishnapur police station, Rupadia district, Bahraich, from Diuria Mod Tirahe. Charas and opium were recovered from them.
According to the CO, Ashraf and Sharafat had given the drugs in bags from village Chanrota in Nepal. It was to be supplied in Himachal's Shimla and Shamli's Kairana. The accused had got another tank made equal to the oil tank in the car. Inside this, narcotics were being smuggled by hiding it inside.
