Steep Hike In Power Tariff Proposed In Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, January 10 (TNA) A proposal to increase electricity rates by 15.85 percent has been filed by power companies before the Regulatory Commission.

The Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) and tariff proposal for 2023-24 filed in the Regulatory Commission on behalf of the power companies calls for a steep hike of 18-23 in domestic, 10-12 percent increase in agriculture.

The regulatory commission will now examine it and take a decision on acceptance, an official said.
