State Capital Region To Be Readied In 14-Days By Connecting Districts Adjacent To Lucknow On The Lines Of NCR
Lucknow, March 16 (TNA) UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the capital Lucknow is equipped with all the facilities in the form of a metropolitan city and that people from other states and cities have started coming and settling here. “The formation of such a state capital region will prove to be very useful” he told a group of officials.
There is a possibility of formation of 'Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region' (SCR) on the lines of National Capital Region (NCR). Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that for the development and expansion of Lucknow, it is necessary to form the UP state capital region by connecting the surrounding districts.
In this connection, CM Yogi has instructed the officers to present a plan in 14 days. Regarding 'Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region' (SCR), the CM held a review meeting with ministers of various departments, departmental additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries on Wednesday.
During this, CM Yogi said that with the aim of expanding the capabilities of Lucknow as the capital for coordinated and balanced development, SCR is to be formed by connecting Lucknow and surrounding districts. During this, CM Yogi also reviewed the development projects being conducted in Ayodhya and Varanasi.
