SP Heavyweight In Lucknow Sharda Pratap Shukla Joins BJP

Lucknow, February 5 (TNA) Former Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Sharda Pratap Shukla who had filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate on Saturday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The two-time legislator was one of the most prominent faces of the SP in the state capital.

A few days abck Rajeshwar Singh, the former ED joint director who has been named as the BJP candidate from Sarojininagar after he took VRS, had met Shukla. He is said to be instrumental in the SP heavyweight joining the saffron camp.
