Bahraich, October 1 (TNA) Panic gripped Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh after six bodies, including two children, were found in a local home on Tuesday, triggering shock and anger among residents. Police sources revealed that a farmer allegedly killed his wife, two children, and two relatives before setting his own house on fire.

Officers recovered all the bodies from the site, while initial investigations point to a case of family dispute resulting in mass murder. The deceased include a woman and two young children, raising fresh concerns about safety in the region.

Simultaneously, Bahraich continues to reel from a series of recent wolf attacks which have left half a dozen people dead and several injured, including four children and an elderly couple in the district’s Kaiserganj and Mahsi areas.

Local villagers, terrified and angry, confronted forest officials, demanding increased security and rapid action to tackle the rising threat. The district administration has launched search operations and heightened vigilance, urging people to remain indoors at night as efforts intensify to restore public safety.

Local authorities are investigating both incidents and providing support to affected families. Residents say these back-to-back tragedies have left the community in fear and demanded stronger police and forest department presence to prevent further loss of life. With public protests intensifying and ongoing search operations, Bahraich remains on edge as officials strive to resolve the crisis and restore normalcy.
