Shocking: Women In UP's Shamli Went For A COVID Jab, Were Administered Anti-Rabies Shots Instead!

Lucknow, April 9 (TNA) At a time when the union government and state governments are exhorting people to come forward and take the COVID vaccine shots a bizarre case from UP's Shamli district has come to light. In this shocking case, a 72-year-old woman was administered an anti-Rabies vaccine during a COVID inoculation drive.

According to reports, three elderly women had gone to a COVID vaccination cent by the health workers who administered them anti-rabies shots which are given after dog bites.

The incident happened in CHC Kandhla in the Saravagyan locality. The three women - Satyavai (60), Anarkali (72) and Saroj (70) has severe reaction after the vaccination and one of them had serious issues.

The truth was uncovered when they showed the OPD prescription to a private doctor where they had gone for treatment after getting allergies post-vaccination.

District Magistrate of Shamli has since ordered a probe into the entire episode which has also left the state government red-faced. Senior Congress leader Aradhna Misra 'Mona' slammed teh government over the incident and said it has exposed the truth behinf COVID management and vaccination drive in the state.
