Senior UP Forester Prabhakar Dubey Dies Of COVID

LUCKNOW || The dreaded Coronavirus claimed yet another big-profile victim in the state of Uttar Pradesh as a senior Indian ForestS service (IFS) officer Prabhakar Dubey died of COVID late on Saturday.

He was serving as the principal chief conservator (social forestry) and had been admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow for the past one week. His untimely demise sent shockwaves into the forest department, with officials, employees mourning the passing away of Dubey.

Dubey was popularly referred to as Mahatma, owing to his simple living and generous nature. He was a 1987 batch IFS officer and was due to retire in January next year.
