SDM In Pratapgarh Booked After Nayab Nazir’ Dies Allegedly Due To His Beating

Pratapgarh, April 3 (TNA) A ‘nayab nazir’ (a government employee lokking after logistics) allegedly died in Pratapgarh after been beaten by a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) after which anger amongst the employees erupted. Naib Nazir Sunil Kumar Sharma (55), seriously injured by the beating of SDM in Lalganj died late evening after which employees blocked the tehsil gate.

DM and SP rushed to the spot of protest and sensing the anger in the employees the district magistrate ordered that a case be registered by the police against the accused SDM. Seeing the anger of the employees, the DM ordered to register a case against the SDM. DM has also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter and the SDM has been removed and attached to the headquarters.
