School Bus Overturns In Prayagraj, Two Children Killed

Prayagraj, Dec 17 (TNA) Two children died on Friday after a school bus overturned near Bheski village in Saidabad of Handia Kotwali, while trying to save a bike rider. More than a dozen have been injured. Hearing the screams of the children, the villagers who arrived took them out of the vehicle.

After getting the information, the police also reached the spot. The bus belonged to Shrimati Kanti Devi Janata Vidyalaya Parmanpur Bhartipur of Jaunpur and was going to Mangarh Pratapgarh for an educational excursion. The bus had just reached in front of Bheski village of Saidabad that the bike became unbalanced while trying to save the rider. 35 girls, 40 boys and 75 children were on board.

The biker too has been critically injured. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has mourned the loss of lives in the mishap and has direted district officials to ensure prompt and proper treatment to the injured.
