Rs 25.4 Crore Properties Of Criminal Ajeet Gupta Attached Under Gangster Act

Ayodhya, April 6 (TNA) Going ahead with its offensive against criminals and organised crime, the Ayodhya administration on Wednesday issued an attachment order for property of Ajeet Gupta, worth more than Rs 25.4 crore under sec 14(1) of Gangster Act.

Gupta is leader of a gang which has duped hundreds of people on pretext of giving them very high returns through investments in his company Ani bullion. He was booked under Gangster Act along with his associates Kanhaiya Lal, Akash Upadhyay, Anjani Kaushal and Krishna Upadhyay.

Properties of his accomplice Krishna Dhar Upadhyay (Rs 2.31 crore), Anjani Kaushal (Rs 75.11 Lakhs) and Kanhaiya Lal worth Rs 95.9 Lakhs have also been attached.

The Rs 21.26 crore properties of Ajeet Gupta which are being attached include a house in Kumarganj Ayodhya, two flats in Chinhat, a house in Gomti nagar worth Rs 1.2 crore, land in Sarojini nagar, a house in Sarai Mali Khan Lucknow, three flats in Gomti Nagar estimated to be of Rs 1.95 crores, another house in Sarai Mali khan, Lucknow worth Rs 2 crore.

Other properties that have been attached include a commercial building in Chowk Lucknow, flat in chak Malhauri Lucknow, house in Virat Khand Gomti Nagar costing Rs 4.05 crore, four bank accounts of different banks having Rs 11.22 Lakh and a bus worth Rs 15 Lakhs.
