Rising Mercury Forces Change In School Timings In Prayagraj, Parents Thank Administration

Prayagraj, April 18 (TNA) With extreme heat wave conditions setting in, in most parts of Uttar Pradesh, the school going kids are suffering big time. Realising this, the BSA in Prayagraj has changed the timings of the school for classes 1st to 8th.

According to the orders issued by BSA Praveen Kumar Tiwari, all schools, including government and private will now operate between 7 am to 12 noon. This decision, an order said, has been taken in view of the difficulties being faced by school-going children due to the high temperatures being recorded in the city.

District Magistrate of Prayagraj, on whose instructions, these orders have been issued, has said that concerned officials should ensure that the changed timings are adhered to with immediate effect and completely.

Parents expressed happiness at the change schedule and said it was “good to note that the administration is alive and sensitive to our concerns as also to the well being of kids”

Parents in other parts of the state are also seeking such change in timings of schools as soon as possible. Mercury hit 40 plus in most parts of the state in the last few days, which was in stark contrast to the pleasant weather in March.
