Revenue Department Official In Gorakhpur Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe

Gorakhpur, April 28 (TNA) A senior assistant of the revenue department has been arrested while taking bribe. He was asking for money to get a file passed by his senior officials. Inspector Shivmohar Yadav, Uday Pratap Singh, Inspector Narendra Kumar Singh - all part of the anti-corruption team made the arrest. After registering a case on the complaint of Inspector Shivmohar in Cantt Police, the accused has been arrested.

The Anti-Corruption Team of Gorakhpur and Cantt Police arrested Sushil Kumar Maurya, Senior Assistant Clerk of Revenue Department. It is alleged that he was demanding a bribe of 10 thousand rupees from Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary of Mahadev Jharkhandi.

Inspector Cantt Shashibhushan Rai said that Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary, a resident of Mahadev Jharkhandi Tukda No. 2 Police Station Cantt, has been been doing the rounds of the revenue department for several months to get his wife's medical compensation file passed.
