Retired Police Inspector Caught Red-Handed Attempting Rape On Minor In Kanpur, Booked

Kanpur, August 10 (TNA) A retired inspector of the Uttar Pradesh Police was caught red-handed forcing himself on a minor girl in Kanpur. The victims mother luckily reached the crime scene on time and helped her daughter get free from the clutches of the aggressor.

The incident was then reported to the police. Chakeri police have registered an FIR and arrested retired inspector Dinesh Chandra Tripathi late on Monday night, an official informed. The retired inspector hails from Prayagraj, lives in the Chakeri police station area.

His family does not live in the house located in Chakeri. Dinesh Tripathi had hired a family to look after the house. The woman lives in her house with her son and 13-year-old daughter. At the same time, she used to look after the house of the retired inspector.

The accused has been booked under section 376, 3/4 Poxo Act of IPC. The retired inspector, who retired from Jhansi in 2016.
