Retired DG Police Dinesh Kumar Sharma Kills Self, Suicide Note Mentions Failing Health And Depression

Lucknow, June 7 (TNA) Retired director general of police (DG) Dinesh Kumar Sharma on Tuesday shot himself and committed suicide at his Gomtinagar residence. He was 73 and shot himself with his licensed revolver. The gun shot was sustained on his right temple and pierced through the left temple. He was a 1975 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.

In the suicide note left behind he has said that he is suffering from depression and was hence ending his life. He also wrote that no one should be held responsible for his death. He lived with his wife Neeta Sharma, a retired Lucknow University professor and son Aranjay at his residence in Vishal Khand 2, Gomtinagar.
