Rajesh Bindal Named Chief Justice Of Allahabad High Court, Ritu Raj Awasthi Is New CJ of Karnataka HC

New Delhi, Oct 9 (TNA) The president of India, in consulation with the Chief Justcie of India appointed Rajesh Bindal, the acting chief justice of Calcutta High Court as the new chief justice of Allahabad High Court. Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi of Allahabad High Court has been elevated as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

In all chief justice of eight High Courts on Saturday were named, an official communique said. Five Justices have also been transferred. Justice Ranjit More (Meghalaya) has been named the chief justice of the Meghalaya HC, Satish Chandra Sharma, the acting chief justice of Karnataka has been made the chief justice of Telangana High Court, Justice Prakash Srivastava (Madhya Pradesh) has been made the new chief justice of Calcutta.

Justice RV Malimath, the acting CJ of Himachal Pradesh has been named as the CJ of Madhya Pradesh.

Justice Aarvind Kumar of Karnataka High Court has been made the new chief justcie of Gujarat High Court and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra of the Chattisgarh High Court has been made the chief justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
