Railways To Demolish Dilapidated Houses In Its Colonies After Five Killed In Roof Collapse In Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 18 (TNA) The Railway administration in the state capital has woken up from its slumber after the recent mishap in one of their colonies which killed five of a family. In pursuant to its move to ensure that there is no morm harm to people living in its properties, a demolition drive will be initiated from Monday against dilapidated houses, an official of the Northern Railway Lucknow Division informed.

LEarning from the mistake of overlooking the dangers at the house in the Fateh Ali Railway Colony accident of Anand Nagar in Lucknow, in the first phase, with the help of Engineering Department, RPF and Civil Police, hundred dilapidated houses of Shantipuram Railway Colony will be demolished.

After this, 98 dilapidated houses of Fateh Ali Colony and Kandam houses of Munawwar Bagh will also be demolished. RPF waiting for the list of dilapidated houses.
