Public Water Service Initiative by Dr Akhilesh Das Foundation to Kick Off Tomorrow In Lucknow

Lucknow, April 28 (TNA) The Dr Akhilesh Das Foundation will kickstart its annual public service initiative, ‘Pyaau 2026’, dedicated to providing clean drinking water to the citizens of Lucknow during the summer season. This charitable endeavour will commence on Wednesday and remain operational until July 31, 2026, an office bearer of the Trust informed.

The water service facility will be at Parivartan Chowk, Kaiserbagh Officer’s Colony, Lucknow, and will be open to the public daily between 9 am and 7 pm. This social welfare programme, first initiated by Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta, is now being carried on by his son, Viraj Sagar Das, a youth BJP leader, President of the Babu Banarsi Das Group and President of the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association.

Viraj Sagar Das remains steadfast in his commitment to community service, stating, “This initiative is a continuation of the vision of my father, late Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta, and we remain dedicated to serving the people of Lucknow through such efforts of public welfare.”
