Prohibitory Orders Clamped In Lakhimpur Kheri Till January 2022

Lucknow, Nov 9 (TNA) The district administration in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh has invoked the section 144 with immediate effect, an official said. The prohibitory orders have been put in place till January 3, 2022, it was furtehr informed.

This step has been necessiated following some inputs with regards to efforts by mischievous elements to foment trouble in the area. The district was in throes of violent protests last month, specially farmers.

It also saw influx of many senior political leaders following the killing of some farmers in an incident.
