Priyanka Gandhi Steps Up Ante On Hathras Gang Rape, Shares Video To Show That Family Was Being Pressurised

LUCKNOW || Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday stepped up the ante against the Yogi Adityanath government over the Hathras gang rape incident and accused the state government of pressurising the family of the deceased victim.

Sharing a video of the father of the victim, the Congress leader said it was amply clear that the government was coercing and pressurising the hapless family fo the victim and had in fact placed them under house arrest.

Referring to the video-call made by the chief minister in which the father said he was satisfied with the probe and financial assistance ordered by the state government, Priyanka said, in the video it was clear that the situation was to the contrary of what the BJP government was claiming.

Meanwhile, she and her brother Rahul Gandhi have left for Hathras where they are scheduled to meet the family of the gang-rape victim. The whole town has been turned into a fortress ahead of the VIP visit and it is likely that the duo would not be allowed to meet the family or enter the district.
