Prime Accused In Brutal Assault On Women Constable In Train Gunned Down By STF-UP Police In Ayodhya

Lucknow, Sep 22 (TNA) The main accused in the murderous assault on a women constable on a train seom time back, was killed in an encounter with the police and the Special Task Force (STF) sleuths in the holy town of Ayodhya in the wee hours of Friday, an official said. The criminal has been identified as Anees.

According to officials, Anees was killed in exchange of fire. Two of his accomplices have been arrested after the gun battle in Inayatnagar. They have been identified as Vishambhar Dayal aka Lallu and Azad. The deceased is accused of trying to force himself of the woman constable in a moving train and when she overpowered him, he smashed her head on the window grill, injuring her critically.
