Priest Killed In Barabanki, Temple Bell Missing

Barabanki, May 24 (TNA) In a sensational incident, a priest of a temple was murdered in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to the police, the assailants hit the head of the priest with some object and then decamped with the brass bell of the temple.

The crime was committed in the Babupur Majre Daranwa village falling under the Kursi police station area. Police have started investigation by taking possession of the body. The crime was discovered when devotees came to worship in the morning and they saw the dead body of the priest. The incident was reported on dial 112. Immediately the top police officers reached the spot.

Body of the priest Balak Ram Yadav (62) who used to stay for a long time in the Veranda Numa Ashram at the Brahma Dev site outside the village, has been sent for postmortem.
