Prayagraj Police Intercepts, Seizes Consignment Of Fake Medicines

Prayagraj, August 4 (TNA) A consignment of fake medicines was intercepted and seized by the Prayagraj Police on Tuesday, police said. Sustained interrogation of the person arrested revealed that he was a member of a gang involved in smuggling illegal drugs.

He was carrying a consignment of recovered drugs from Prayagraj. He also told the cops that this consignment of drugs was given to him by a person from Prayagraj by car whose name he does not know. He had asked to deliver the medicines to Madhya Pradesh.

A probe has been ordered and the police is trying to find the people behind what seems to be a big, well organised fake medicine racket.
