Prayagraj Administration Readies For Lok Sabha 2024 Elections: DM Shares Detailed Schedule, Deployment Of Personnel

Prayagraj, March 17 (TNA) District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal, who is now the District Election Officer as well held a press conference at the Sangam Auditorium Collectorate premises regarding Lok Sabha General Election-2024 on Saturday evening. He informed that voting will be held in Prayagraj and Phulpur in the sixth phase on 25th May and that responsibilities for the election process in the districts have been decided.

District Election Officer and DM Navneet Singh Chahal has been made the Election Officer of Phulpur parliamentary seat, while the responsibility of Election Officer and Personnel Officer of Prayagraj parliamentary seat has been given to CDO Gaurav Kumar. To conduct fair elections, 378 sector magistrates have been appointed, the list of AROs has also been released by the Commission and a total of five AROs including ACM III, SDM Soraon, SDM Phulpur, SDM Sadar have been deployed in the Phulpur parliamentary constituency.

While SDM Meja, SDM Karchana, SDM Bara, SDM Koraon and ACM II have been made AROs in Prayagraj parliamentary constituency, SDM Handia and SLO Joint Organization Prayagraj will be responsible for the two assembly constituencies of Bhadohi parliamentary seat, DM Navneet Singh Chahal said. He also informed that along with RO, five AROs each were deployed in both the Lok Sabha constituencies and that, in any case, a complainant can make his complaint on number 0532-2644024 and toll free number 1950.

After the voting, strict arrangements have been made for the security of EVMs in Mundera Mandi. The DEO also informed that voting will be conducted from home for those above 85 years of age for which the elderly will have to fill out a 12 D form. 395 sensitive booths have been identified. 385 unsafe booths have also been identified, and a total of 36 flying squad teams have been formed for 12 assembly constituencies, there will be 3 FSTs in each assembly constituency.
