Prashant Kumar Promoted As DG,34 IPS Officers Now DIG’s

Lucknow, December 29 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government promoted Prashant Kumar as DG. Other than this 73 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been given promotion and 34 IPS officers have now become DIG’s. Kumar is a 1990 batch IPS officer and is currently serving as Special Director General of Police, Law and Order.

After a go ahead by Governor Anandiben Patel, Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad late Thursday issued the promotion order. According to the order, Home Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta of 1999 batch and Prayagraj Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma have been promoted from IG to ADG.

The promotions were approved three days ago in the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee of IPS officers. After the permission of the Governor, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad issued the promotion order. Five IPS officers of 2006 batch - Akash Kulhari, Dharmendra Singh, LR Kumar, Abdul Hameed and Shalabh Mathur have been made IG from DIG.

Apart from this, 34 IPS have been promoted from SP to DIG. These include Rohan P. Kanay of the year 2009 batch, Vaibhav Krishna of the year 2010 batch, Kalanidhi Naithani, Prabhakar Chaudhary, Sanjeev Tyagi, Poonam, Kuntal Kishore, Harish Chander, Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj, Rathore Kirit Kumar Haribhai, Shiv Hari Meena, Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Rahul Raj, Shafiq Ahmed, Radhey Shyam, Kalpana Saxena, Sureshwar, Ramji Singh Yadav, Sanjay Singh, Ram Kishun, Rajkamal Yadav, Rakesh Pushkar, Manoj Kumar Sonkar, Kuldeep Narayan, Maniram Singh, Kiran Yadav, Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Shahab Rashid Khan, S. Anand, Rajiv Narayan Mishra, Sunil Kumar Singh along with Ashok Kumar IV, Pradeep Gupta and Dr. Omprakash Singh.
