Pramod Tiwari Rains Posers To PM Modi On COVID, Blames Him For The Disaster Millions Are Faced With

Lucknow, April 23 (TNA) Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari on Friday rained a volley of questions of prime minister Narendra Modi with regards to the scary COVID situation in the country.

In a video put out on his official Twitter handle, the CWC member said that it was heart breaking that when there were record number of cases - 3.32 lakh in a single day, something which has not happened anywhere in the globe, both the prime minister and his government appear clueless like always.

Accusing Modi of overlooking the interests of the nation and the people and of exporting double the oxygen that previous year, he also asked on why was his government not braced up for the lethal second wave, as predicted and forewarned by the medical fraternity and the scientists. "What were you doing, why were the arrangements not in place?" he questioned.

Tiwari, who is a big name in Uttar Pradesh politics also asked that when vaccines were not enough for the nation, why did he allow its export and grant to almost 80 nations, including Bangladesh.

The former Rajya Sabha member also slammed the governments for failing to save precious lives of the people, who were dying due to acute shortage of life-saving drugs, medical facilities, hospital beds and oxygen to breathe.

UP on Friday reported 37,000 plus fresh cases in its biggest single-day spike and 199 deaths, also its highest ever since the pandemic broke out in March last year.
