Police Sub-Inspector Shot At In Varanasi, Official Pistol Looted
Varanasi, Nov 9 (TNA) Three bike-borne miscreants shot a cop at Laksa police station in Jagatpur of Rohaniya area of Varanasi on Tuesday evening. After the firing, the miscreants escaped after looting the government pistol of the sub-inspector. The constable has been admitted to a private hospital after being shot in the right side of the chest.
The Commissionerate Police haslaunched a man hunt to nab the three bike-borne miscreants. Ajay Yadav, the sub-inspector of Laksa police station, was going towards Rohaniya from his work. In the evening, when he reached near Jagatpur canal, the miscreants who came from behind stopped the car while overtaking them and the miscreants opened fire.
After this, the miscreants robbed his government pistol and fled. Rohaniya police, which reached the information of the villagers, admitted the injured Ajay Yadav to Anant Hospital. During this, other officers including SP Rural reached the spot.
