Police Inspector Robbed In Kannauj, Miscreants Decamp With His Car

Kannauj, Nov 22 (TNA) Fearless miscreants looted the car after injuring Crime Branch in-charge Inspector AK Singh posted in Jalaun district. Sadar Kotwali police reached the spot and admitted the injured inspector to the hospital.

Inspector Awadhesh Kumar Chauhan, Crime Branch in-charge of Jalaun district, was going by car via Kannauj to give a statement in Badaun court at around 9 pm on Monday night.

He stopped the car for some work on GT Road near Jalalpur police post of Sadar Kotwali. During this, three miscreants caught him. After this, he was injured by beating with the butts of the pistol. Pushing the inspector to the roadside, the miscreants fled with the i10 car.

The inspector informed the police officers about the incident through the phone of the local people. On information, ASP Arvind Kumar, CO Priyanka and Kotwali in-charge Rajkumar Singh reached the crime scene. After this, the injured inspector was admitted to a private hospital.
